What we collect

This site has no forms and collects no personal details; the visit counts described under Visitor statistics below identify no one. If you email or call us, we keep what you send us for as long as we are working with you.

What we do with it

We use those details to reply to you and to do what you asked for, and for nothing else. We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for marketing, and we do not build profiles.

Who else sees it

The details pass through the services that run this site: the hosting company that serves it and delivers form messages, and the email provider that receives them. Beyond that, the only outside services on this site are: Square, which runs our online ordering and payments, and DoorDash and Uber Eats, which deliver our orders; each has its own privacy policy; Instagram, if you follow a link to our profile; Google Fonts (the typefaces load from Google's servers, which see your IP address); OpenStreetMap (the map tiles load from OpenStreetMap's servers, which see your IP address; no cookies are set); cdnjs by Cloudflare (serves the map's code); GoatCounter (counts visits and taps; see Visitor statistics below).

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies and runs no advertising trackers. It counts visits with GoatCounter, described below, which sets no cookies either and stores nothing in your browser.

Visitor statistics

We use GoatCounter, a statistics service that sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser and does not follow you from site to site, to count visits to this site and taps on the phone number, the email address, the directions links, the online ordering links and the links to our social media pages. For each visit it records the page, the site or link that sent you (when your browser passes that on), your browser and operating system, your screen size, and your country (in the United States, your state), worked out from your IP address. Your IP address itself is not stored: GoatCounter holds it with your browser details in memory for up to eight hours, only to tell a new visit from a reload, and then discards it.

We see totals only, never a record of any one person, and use them to learn which pages help our customers and to improve the site. Loomwest, which builds and looks after this site for us, sees the same totals and uses them to prepare our monthly website report. GoatCounter is operated from Ireland, keeps the totals on servers in Finland and Germany, and does not share them with anyone. We keep the totals for two years.

The counting works the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, because it does not track anyone from site to site. Most content blockers stop it entirely, and the site works the same either way.

How long we keep it

For as long as we are working with you or answering your message, and then as long as the law asks us to keep business records. Ask and we delete what we hold, unless we must keep it for a legal reason.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask what personal details we hold about you, ask for a correction, or ask us to delete them. California residents have the right to know what is collected and how it is used, and the right to request deletion; this page is the notice California asks businesses to post. Write to us at the address below and we answer within thirty days.

Where this site links to another company's site, that company's own policy applies once you are there.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version appears here with a new effective date.
